According to the Personal Status Law of the Druze community: Either the suitor or the fiancée may withdraw from the engagement without any obligation. Regarding engagement gifts, if the withdrawal is by the suitor, he may not reclaim anything he presented to the fiancée, whether it remains at the time of his withdrawal or not. If the withdrawal is by the fiancée, she must return everything the suitor presented to her; if it is still in existence, she shall return it as is, and if it has been destroyed by the time of her withdrawal, she shall return its equivalent or its value, unless there is a condition agreed upon between them, in which case it shall be followed.
