His Eminence Sheikh Akl of the Unitarian Druze Community, Sheikh Dr. Sami Abi Al-Muna, visited the Grand Mufti of the Lebanese Republic, His Eminence Sheikh Abdul Latif Derian, at Dar al-Fatwa, heading a delegation that included: the President of the Supreme Druze Court of Appeal, Judge Faisal Nasser al-Din, Judge Gandhi Makarem, member of the Board of Directors of the Druze Council Mr. Naji Saab, member of the Council Sheikh Sami Abdul Khaleq, and officials in the Druze Council, the Sheikhdom of Akl, and advisors.
After the meeting, the Sheikh Akl said: “We were honored today to visit His Eminence the Mufti, first to congratulate him on the extension of his blessed term, and secondly to congratulate him on the anniversary of the Prophet’s Birthday, and to exchange views on issues of mutual concern. It was a good meeting, thank God, in which we converged on the same spiritual, national, and social ideas.”
