Between October 14 and 16, 2017, Lebanon witnessed fires that affected vast areas of forests, causing significant damage. At the time, the Lebanese were captivated by images of a child wearing the traditional attire of the Druze monotheistic community, helping to extinguish the fires in his village.
To honor this child and his courage, named Mahmoud Adham Al-Ghadban, he was received by the then-Prime Minister of Lebanon, Saad Hariri, at the Grand Serail in recognition of his enthusiasm and chivalry. He was accompanied by his father and Sheikh Sami Abi Al-Muna, who had not yet been appointed as the Sheikh Aql at the time. He was also honored at his school at the Al-Irfan Monotheistic Foundation.
