Suhail Saqr from the town of Al-Kfeir in the Hasbaya district is a folk poet who possesses talent and a distinctive voice in Lebanese folk songs.

He is distinguished by his unique style in Zajal, traditional songs, and sports and social poems. He became famous for his spontaneous Zajal poems about football and international clubs, gaining widespread fame on social media.

He is also known for his folk songs, which he performed with his daughter Mira and his son Rabie, and they have been hosted by several media outlets as an artistic family.

He participates in many poetry gatherings and visits several countries to perform poetry concerts, in addition to podium competitions alongside Zajal poets.

In a notable tribute to his art, the Algerian writer and novelist Ahlam Mosteghanemi published a video on her Twitter account of the poet Suhail Saqr and the poetic challenge about the situation in Lebanon between him and his daughter Mira, commenting: "The beautiful Lebanese people, even in their misery, are creative. I kiss your souls, you beautiful ones."

After receiving a greeting in return from poet Saqr, Mosteghanemi tweeted again: "I received a beautiful greeting from the poet Suhail Saqr saying 'Mira and I love you.' My dear, I was late in discovering your lovely family. You are a reflection of the life-loving Lebanon, the eternal, creative Lebanon that we adore."
