Mazen Ghannam, a native of the Chouf town of Dmit, is a brilliant stage Zajl poet. Possessing a distinctive voice, he secured a place for himself early among the Zajl poets in Lebanon.
He began his journey on the “Oof” program on OTV, with poet Moussa Zgheib, and was among its standouts.
He took to the stage at the start of his career alongside the great poet Talie Hamdan, and later stood alongside many poets in hundreds of concerts in Lebanon and abroad.
He represents a renewed renaissance in Lebanese Zajl along with an elite group of poets of his generation.
He released his book “Awal al-Mishwar” (The Beginning of the Journey) in his hometown of Dmit in the presence of several social, political, and literary figures.
