Sami Kleib is a Lebanese journalist who holds French citizenship. He hosted the program "Game of Nations" on Al Mayadeen channel, after becoming famous for presenting "Special Visit" and "The File" on Al Jazeera.
Kleib is a native of the town of Niha in the Chouf region and belongs to the Druze community. He served as Editor-in-Chief at "Radio Monte Carlo" and Radio France Internationale, later becoming the presidential advisor for the French media holding directed at the Arab world, which included "Radio Monte Carlo Doualiya, Radio France Internationale, and France 24 TV." He also served as the director of the Paris bureau for the Lebanese newspaper As-Safir and wrote for numerous Arab and foreign newspapers, including the Kuwaiti Al-Rai and the Lebanese Al-Akhbar.
He earned a master's degree in political discourse analysis from the University of Sorbonne Nouvelle in France, then pursued postgraduate studies in the Department of Information at the Sorbonne. He possesses an elegant presence, having presented a political program concerning the Lebanese elections titled "50/50" on the Lebanese Broadcasting Corporation (LBC) channel, and later the program "The President" on the "Al-Jadeed" channel.
His Contribution
He contributed to the founding of Al Mayadeen channel, owned by Ghassan Ben Jeddou, and served as its Director of News from its establishment in 2011. The "Game of Nations" program followed political and intellectual affairs through debates and new information every week, unlike the "Special Visit" program, which focused on political and social figures, as well as writers, poets, philosophers, and even ordinary people who had an influence on a particular society. The program featured many personalities.
Sami Kleib wrote numerous articles, especially regarding the Syrian issue, the most notable of which was what he wrote in the Lebanese newspaper Al-Akhbar when he revealed documents concerning Mahmoud Abbas's role in Geneva 2.
In December 2015, he published a book titled "Assad Between Departure and Systematic Destruction."
