Mona Abou Hamze is a brilliant Lebanese media personality, born in the Chouf town of Barouk on October 2, 1972.
She holds a degree in Political Science from the American University of Beirut. She began her career in television hosting with the program "Hadith el Balad" on the Lebanese MTV channel upon its relaunch in 2009.
She wrote a poetry collection titled "Bila Haqa'ib" (Without Bags), which she published in 2009. She hosted the program "Mona wa Al-Nujoom" (Mona and the Stars) on the Egyptian Al-Hayat channel in March 2015.
In April 2015, she participated as a jury member on the program "Moza'i Al-Arab" (The Arab Presenter) alongside Laila Elwi and Tony Baroud on the Lebanese MTV and Abu Dhabi TV channels. Later, in November 2015, she served as a jury member on the fourth season of "Celebrity Duets" (the first on Lebanese MTV) alongside Oussama Rahbani and Tarek Abou Jaoudeh on Lebanese MTV and MBC4. In November 2017, she hosted the second season of "Celebrity Duets" in 2018, and presented the Arabic version of the global program "Story of My Life," produced by Talpa Middle East, on Dubai TV. In each episode, she hosted an artistic duo, who might be a married couple, siblings, friends, or connected by a father-child or mother-child relationship.
In the summer of 2023, she returned to host the program "Hadith el Balad" on MTV.
She also has acting experience, having appeared in the series "Till Death 2" as a guest star in the role of "Randa".
Abou Hamze belongs to an established family from the Druze sect, and her grandfather was Aref Bey Alwan, who was one of 12 deputies during the Ottoman rule.
