Jamal Al-Qadmani is a young artist, born in 1976 in Rashaya Al-Wadi. He began his artistic journey in 2000, refining his work to the point of mastering live painting at numerous events in Lebanon and abroad.
The sheer volume of output does not concern him; what matters is the painting itself and the effort, creativity, and message it carries, Jamal says, considering that a painting is the product of a specific culture and a reflection of the artist's maturity and their cultural and artistic background.
Al-Qadmani recounts some key milestones in his artistic career, notably his participation with the Ministry of Economy in the Lebanese pavilion at "Expo Milano" in Italy in 2015, where he accompanied the poet Talal Haidar with live painting, as well as his live painting performance alongside artist Assi El Hallani in the musical play "Shams wa Qamar" (Sun and Moon) by the late Wajdi Chaya.
Additionally, Al-Qadmani has participated in an exhibition in Qatar, as well as in more than 5 solo exhibitions and 30 group exhibitions in Lebanon and abroad, along with numerous participations in fine arts workshops.
He reads deeply into his canvas and masters choosing the right place for it, believing that a creative work possesses an aura that must be preserved and presented in its finest form to art connoisseurs; this time, too, he knew where to give free rein to his brush and his signature.
In a remarkable initiative in 2019, the Lebanese Ministry of Telecommunications launched the "Migratory Birds" postage stamps, painted by Al-Qadmani, from the Presidential Palace under the patronage of President General Michel Aoun, aiming to shed light on the need to protect these birds that pass through Lebanon without nesting in it.
Al-Qadmani continues his professional career with high craftsmanship and exquisite aesthetics.
