The seventh virtue in the Tawhid faith is submission to the decree of God Almighty

We previously discussed the virtue of contentment (al-Rida), which states that a Muwahhid must believe in divine justice and divine wisdom in order to accept the decree of God Almighty with humility and submission. The seventh virtue complements and completes its predecessor, meaning that faith in divine truth, justice, and wisdom must rise to the stage of implementation and be reflected in the thoughts and actions of the Muwahhid in daily life. According to this virtue, the Muwahhid believer is expected to dedicate their life, soul, body, wealth, and all their resources to fulfilling the will of God, Exalted be His Majesty, in both good and adversity. Al-Amir al-Sayyid (may his secret be sanctified) explained in his commentaries that while the virtue of contentment expresses the feeling that fills the Muwahhid toward the decree of God, Exalted and Glorified be He, the virtue of submission is action and deed: namely, the practical application of contentment in daily life. This distinction between the two virtues is reflected in the saying: “Contentment is like a tree, and submission is its fruit; without the tree, there can be no fruit.” In order to implement this principle and embody this virtue, the Muwahhid is required to examine every step in life, taking care to act in accordance with divine commands and prohibitions. The Muwahhid believer must reflect deeply before embarking on any action, to ensure that what they do aligns and accords with the will of God, Exalted be His Majesty. Furthermore, the Muwahhid must raise family members and those close to them to act in accordance with the decree and will of God Almighty, and is forbidden from standing idly by upon seeing them err and go astray.
