Afifa Saab joined the women's magazine movement in Choueifat by founding her magazine, Al-Khidr, a monthly scientific and literary journal with an additional focus on health.

The magazine was published for eight years, from 1919 to 1927, and was welcomed by all the writers of the era. It is often considered the first Druze women's magazine.

Saab was concerned with the rights of women in general and the rights of Druze women in particular, and thus the discussion of the status of Druze women became a recurring topic in her speeches.
