Insaf Al-Aawar Maadad was a journalist who worked and wrote actively about women's rights.
She wrote to the Lebanese Council of Women in 1975, raising the demands of working women and drawing the council's attention to issues such as maternity leave.
She also raised the same demands at the Beijing Conference in 1995 and published these demands in print and broadcast media.
She ran for elections in 1992 for the Druze seat in Baabda.
