Media personality Akram Al-Maghoush, who has had a long career in community journalism in Australia, has accompanied the Arab community and kept pace with the most important occasions and moments in its history.

Al-Maghoush was born in the Syrian city of As-Suwayda, in a home that loved knowledge and culture. He has practiced media since arriving in Australia, transitioning between artistic, political, and cultural media over many years.

He accompanied Senator Shaoquett Moselmane for years and followed his work in the political field. Moselmane honored him at a ceremony at the Coronation Hall in Sydney, after Al-Maghoush declined to hold the ceremony at the Parliament building.

Meeting Celebrities

Throughout his career, he kept pace with political activities, receiving many invitations from Ministries of Information in Arab countries, and conducted many interviews with important figures. He also founded an intellectual association in Australia, the "Arab Heritage Association," which carried out many intellectual activities.

He also witnessed the arrival of the most prominent Arab singing stars in Australia, including Samira Tawfiq, Wadih El Safi, Melhem Barakat, Sayed Mekawy, Samira Said, George Wassouf, and many others from all Arab countries.

 

The Druze Association
Al-Maghoush also conducted many artistic interviews, which he keeps in his extensive archive. He also wrote for many local Arab newspapers in Australia and participated in many national demonstrations, and served as the Media Officer for the Syrian Association for more than 35 years and the Media Officer for the Druze Association.
