Baidaa Fouad Boudaqa, a Syrian engineer from the village of Hawt, born in Damascus in 1989.

 

She joined the Faculty of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering at Damascus University - Department of General Mechanical Engineering, where she excelled and ranked first in her field.

Waste Heat Recovery

She obtained her degree in Mechanical Engineering – General Mechanical Engineering branch – specializing in Mechanical Power Engineering, with honors and an overall average of 85.78% in 2013.

She pursued her postgraduate studies, and in 2018, she received a Master's degree in Thermal Engineering – Department of General Mechanical Engineering, with distinction and an average of 95%, following the defense of her graduation project titled: "Waste Heat Recovery from Combustion Gases to Increase Furnace Efficiency Using the Organic Rankine Cycle."

Two Patents

In 2019, she was dispatched to the Russian Federation to pursue a PhD specializing in "Furnace Technology, Exchangers, and Thermal Equipment."

She obtained two patents from the Russian Federation in the field of designing thermal power plants with waste gas heat recovery in 2022 and 2023, and she is continuing her research and working on completing her scientific thesis, according to the "Al-Suwayda Now" page.
