The Sheikh Aql of the Unitarian Druze community, Sheikh Dr. Sami Abi Al-Muna, met at the Sect House in Beirut with the Vice President of the Supreme Islamic Shia Council, His Eminence Sheikh Ali Al-Khatib, and a delegation from the Council, including: Mufti Sheikh Abdul Amir Shams Al-Din, Sheikh Dr. Mohammad Hijazi, the special advisors Dr. Ghazi Qanso and journalist Wasef Awada, and the acting Secretary, Abdul Salam Al-Shakar, in the presence of Judge Sheikh Gandhi Makarem and advisors Sheikhs: Dr. Nabigh Dhubyan, Dr. Ramzi Sari Al-Din, Daniel Saeed, Amer Zain Al-Din, and the Director of the Mashyakhat al-Aql, Mr. Rayan Hassan.
The meeting addressed the role of spiritual authorities and the possibility of holding an Islamic-Christian spiritual summit.
