Safwan Suleiman Abu Saada is the Governor of Rif Dimashq, and previously served in Tartus and Idlib. He is a Syrian national born in 1973 and has held many prominent and important positions.
Abu Saada was born in the city of As-Suwayda, Syria, in 1972, and holds a law degree from Damascus University.
His Responsibilities
He held the position of former Governor of Tartus from 2014 to 2023.
He was appointed as the head of the As-Suwayda City Council from 2003 to 2010.
He served as the Governor of Idlib from 2013 to 2014.
He was appointed as the Governor of Rif Dimashq Governorate, pursuant to Decree No. 200 of 2023.
