The Peace Club in New York held a “tribute to a blooming and fruitful branch in the orchard of the Ma'rufite Unitarian faith, represented by the person of the Sheikh Akl delegation representative and businessman, Sheikh Sami Merhi”.
Man of the Year
The honoring took place on December 9, 2023, during the 77th annual gala of the Peace Club in New York, where the club awarded Mr. Sami Merhi the “Man of the Year” award.
On this occasion, Mr. Merhi also received an honorary certificate from the Mayor of Paterson, in addition to a letter of appreciation from U.S. Congressman Bill Pascrell Jr.
Merhi is someone who takes the initiative in offering himself, his talents, and his time to serve people humanely, socially, and culturally, and in all fields. He has also held leadership positions in several health and charitable institutions, confirming how deserving he is of this important award.
