The Samih Center for Development, Culture, and Arts concluded its 2023 activities with a historical cultural seminar presented by journalist Rosette Nasr, discussing militant women and the activist and pioneer of the Syrian feminist movement, Nazik al-Abid, known as the Sword of Damascus, the Star of Maysalun, the Damascene Rose, and the Joan of Arc of the Arabs.
She is a model for many Arab militant women who contribute in varying ways to both liberation and modernization processes.
