His Eminence the Sheikh Akl of the Unitarian Druze community in Lebanon, Dr. Sami Abi Al-Muna, culminated the reconciliation effort between relatives from the Hatoum family in Kfarselwan, as he visited the homes of the two deceased individuals, meeting their families and relatives to end a dispute that lasted for nearly thirteen years. This took place in the towns of Kfarselwan and Ras el-Metn, in an effort to complete the reconciliation between the kinsfolk of the Hatoum family, accompanied by Judge Makarem, some members of the Druze Council, advisors, and sheikhs, and in the presence of a noble group of sheikhs and youth from the town of Kfarselwan. This step was crowned with success and full responsiveness from both noble parties.

His Eminence commended "the spirit of tolerance, brotherhood, and Ma'roufi chivalry that permeated the atmosphere of the meeting with members of the two families, who together form one family from the core of the people of the lofty mountain."
