The following statement was issued by the Media Office of the Sheikhdom of the Aql of the Unitarian Druze community in Lebanon:
“Some social media pages are active with offensive posts related to religious concepts, some of which are presented as a series of “lessons” that include displaying publications and interpretations, which the owners of those pages falsely attribute to the Unitarian Druze faith. Knowing that this is not the first time that ignorant, pretender, and conspiratorial individuals have attempted to distort the image of this authentic Islamic Unitarian faith, with the aim of sowing discord, strife, hatred, and animosity among believers and the citizens of one nation”.
While the Sheikhdom of the Aql denounces these “fabrications and lies, it calls upon their perpetrators to stop these violations and false lessons immediately, under the penalty of being prosecuted before the competent authorities. The Sheikhdom of the Aql also refers serious knowledge seekers to read the religious knowledge books issued by it, and to the “Unitarian Knowledge” section published on its official website”.
