The Sheikh Al-Aql of the Unitarian Druze community in Lebanon, Sheikh Sami Abi Al-Muna, thanked the Council of Ministers for appointing Major General Hassan Odea as Chief of Staff of the Lebanese Army, congratulating the military establishment and the Major General. The congratulatory message stated:
“Dear Major General Hassan Odea,
My blessing to you is a prayer and a hope that God will help you with this responsibility and that you will be a beacon of the military establishment, whose Chief of Staff position you have deservedly earned, so that you may look after its members with love and fatherhood, and safeguard the nation with honor, sacrifice, and loyalty.”
He added: “Thanks to the Presidency of the Council of Ministers and to the Council collectively for the confident step that serves the interest of the army and the nation, and the constant wish that our national army remains a symbol of the country's unity and a guarantee of its security… May God grant you success.”.
