The Lebanese Army Command issued the following:

On 8/2/2024, the Council of Ministers decided to appoint Brigadier General Hassan Aoude as Chief of Staff of the Army, grant him a promotion seniority of five months, and promote him to the rank of Major General.

The following is a brief overview of his biography:

– Born in Bater – Chouf on 11/2/1968.
– Volunteered in the Army as a cadet officer on 15/1/1990.
– Graduated from the Military Academy with the rank of Lieutenant effective 23/4/1994, and rose through the ranks until Major General effective 8/2/2024.
– Holds a university degree in Military Sciences, and a Master's degree in Political Science - Diplomacy and International Security, and is fluent in French, English, and Italian.
– Attended several training courses at home and abroad, including a course in France and a training course on staff work in Italy.
– Served in various positions including: Company Commander in an Infantry Brigade and an Intervention Regiment, Commander of the 73rd Battalion, Commander of the 3rd Intervention Regiment, and Commander of the 11th Infantry Brigade.
– Recipient of the following medals: National Unity, Dawn of the South, Military Appreciation (Silver Class), Lebanese Order of Merit (Second and Third Classes), National Cedar (Knight and Officer ranks), Counter-Terrorism, and Military Pride (Silver Class).
– Received the commendation and congratulations of the Army Commander several times.
– Married to Mrs. Hala Halima, and has three children: Jawad, Jalal, and Sama.
