A decree has been issued appointing Dr. Walid Ghazi Naffaa as Director of the Damascus University branch in As-Suwayda for a period of three years.
Naffaa holds a PhD in fungal plant diseases from Blaise Pascal University in France, obtained in 1998.
According to the “As-Suwayda Now” page1., he is a professor in the Department of Plant Protection at the Faculty of Agricultural Engineering, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Science IV in As-Suwayda from 2015-2019, and Dean of the Faculty of Agricultural Engineering II in As-Suwayda since 2023.
Naffaa received the Al-Bassel Award for Scientific Research in 2015, and has more than 60 papers published in local and foreign scientific journals. He is a member of the editorial board for 6 foreign journals and 6 local journals.
