The Chief of Staff of the Lebanese Army, Major General Hassan Aoude, accompanied by a delegation of officers from the General Staff, visited His Eminence the Sheikh Aql of the Unitarian Druze Community in Lebanon, Sheikh Dr. Sami Abi Al-Muna, at the Community House in Beirut. Major General Aoude thanked His Eminence for his role in supporting the Lebanese Army and his valued positions in reaching the appointment result that took place through the Council of Ministers, which complements all the good efforts in this regard.
The meeting was an occasion during which His Eminence wished Major General Aoude success in his mission, noting that it is a duty to raise one's voice when a certain flaw occurs, which is what we emphasize today regarding the necessity of completing the formation of the Military Council, especially in light of the security challenges facing the region, with Lebanon at its core. This requires our army to be fortified and strong, capable of carrying out the responsibilities entrusted to it to preserve security and provide stability.
In this context, His Eminence the Sheikh Aql called for "full rallying around the army and supporting the military institution, which remains the primary guarantee against the major risks threatening the nation, and to prioritize internal solidarity over contentious issues and other thorny files, for which we hope to find effective solutions, primarily ending the presidential vacuum."
