The representative of the Sheikhdom of the Intellect in Kuwait, Sheikh Nassib Qanso1., viewed the relationship between the two wings of Lebanon, the resident and the expatriate, as a solid one and a secret of survival and resilience. The Lebanese experience in expatriation is one we take pride in, as our countrymen are distinguished and loyal, holding great respect and status among the leadership of the State of Kuwait and the Kuwaiti people alike. As a Lebanese community, we strive to present a unified image and an interactive spirit, as this same model applies to the Lebanese community in most countries around the world. Today, a solution to the Lebanese crisis is possible through clear and explicit economic and social policies, the enhancement of transparency, and the restoration of trust for the Lebanese expatriate, who would not hesitate for a moment to invest and work if they felt security and safety anywhere in the world. A person's value lies in their homeland, and success in one's own country is unparalleled by any other success.
Sheikh Nassib Qanso describes his experience in the State of Kuwait as an exceptional one in terms of the embrace provided by the State of Kuwait and the seeds sown by the early Lebanese parents and expatriates who exerted great effort and laid the foundations. On this occasion, we congratulate the State of Kuwait on its National Day and Liberation Day, as we salute our people in Kuwait who were pioneers in goodness and welcoming the other. This country was the first in the Gulf to open its hearts and spaces to all sects and denominations, and the expatriate landscape in Kuwait remains an exemplary experience.
Sheikh Nassib Qanso concludes by sending a greeting to the national leader Walid Jumblatt, who played a major role in strengthening the relationship between the states of Lebanon and Kuwait. We hope for relief for Lebanon, which will emerge from this tribulation if the behavior of this political class changes towards serious thinking about political, economic, social, and visionary reform in approaching all files. Here, we also note the appreciation and recognition by the State of Kuwait of the national leader Walid Bey Jumblatt and the Lebanese community, which has become part of the loving, believing, and loyal conscience towards the State of Kuwait, its leadership, and its people.
