The city of Aley bid farewell to the man of goodness and giving, engineer Anis Salim Shmait, who passed away abroad, in funeral ceremonies held at the Social Message Hall, in the presence of religious, official, and public delegations.
Mourners recalled the virtues of the deceased, who never abandoned his city and its people during the most difficult circumstances.
Shmait was a member of the Unitarian Druze community, known for his devotion to his people and for his rich career abroad, especially in Germany.
