His Eminence the Sheikh Akl of the Unitarian Druze Community, Sheikh Dr. Sami Abi Al-Muna, received a phone call from Prime Minister Najib Mikati, who expressed his thanks and praise to His Eminence for the “inclusive Iftar at the Druze Community House and for his valuable speech.”
He also received a call from President Michel Suleiman, who praised the hospitality of the House, describing the Iftar as a “Republican Iftar.”
In turn, Jordanian MP Faisal Al-Awar praised in a message to His Eminence Sheikh Abi Al-Muna his speech, which he considered to “express the stance of the Bani Ma’ruf wherever they may be.”
His Eminence received many messages and calls in this regard.

His Eminence the Sheikh Akl received at his residence in Shanay the Governor of the South, Mr. Mansour Daou, accompanied by lawyer Bahij Abu Mujahid.

His Eminence the Sheikh Akl also received the former Qaimaqam of Keserwan, Mr. Pierre Kassab, the Mayor of Sarba, lawyer Elie Al-Helou, the Mayor of Rimat, Mr. Fadi Awad, and engineer Serop Kizirian, to thank His Eminence for his participation in the national symposium in the town of Al-Rmila, represented by member of the Druze Council, Sheikh Fadi Al-Attar.
Kassab emphasized the “importance of the meeting, which was a valuable opportunity to be enlightened by His Eminence’s broad-minded national vision and the current challenges, as well as his sublime spirituality regarding the salvation of souls.”

He also received Lebanese expatriate from Rashaya, the “philanthropist and businessman” Hayel Saeed, in the presence of a number of Druze Council members and Sheikhs.
Among his visitors was Mr. Fouad Al-Gharib, in the presence of Sheikh Firas Abu Ghanem. He also received Mr. Shafiq Yahya, accompanied by the Mayor of Ruwaisat Al-Ballout, Fadl Zeidan, and engineer Bashir Abu Akar, in the presence of the Mayor of Shanay, Hussein Abi Al-Muna.
On the other hand, His Eminence the Sheikh Akl participated in the funeral services of Sheikh Jamila Yasser Daou in Baqaaata and Sheikh Abu Bassam Youssef Ghaith in Niha, accompanied by the venerable Sheikh Abu Zeineddine Hassan Ghannam and a delegation of Sheikhs.
