Raouf Abou Zaki is considered one of the most important Lebanese businessmen in the Gulf; he holds the position of Chairman of the Saudi-Lebanese Business Council and is the CEO of Al-Iktissad Wal-Aamal Group.
Abou Zaki also holds several other positions, as he is a member of the Arab-Swiss Chamber of Commerce, a member of the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture in Beirut and Mount Lebanon, and was the Vice Chairman of the Investment Development Authority of Lebanon (IDAL) between 1995 and 2001.
Abou Zaki began his career in journalism, working as an economic editor at An-Nahar newspaper for 14 years between 1965 and 1979, and later at Al-Hawadeth magazine between 1982 and 1988, before his journey with Al-Iktissad Wal-Aamal magazine began.
Abou Zaki has been honored more than once and is a recipient of the Lebanese National Order of the Cedar with the rank of Knight.
