The As-Suwayda Directorate of Education theater brought together about 75 students for theatrical performances and a folk art musical operetta as part of the ninth annual festival of the School Theater Department.
The celebration, which began with an introductory presentation on the most important activities provided by the school theater, was followed by a musical operetta, then singing by individual talents, and concluded with expressive dances by some of the participants.
The Director of Education in As-Suwayda, Akram Al-Hasaniyah, considered the festival to be the result of integrated work between teachers and students, which has led to the discovery of promising talents in the field of theater and folk arts. He added that it also presented a complete artistic work that expresses As-Suwayda governorate and its promising talents.
The head of the theater section at the School Theater Department, Nawras Al-Mulhem, indicated that this event is a culmination of the work of the instructors and students, pointing out that the theatrical performance presented under the title "Endless Rhythm" is a participating work in the official competition for World Theater Day.
Al-Mulhem added: "In every edition of the festival, new students' talents are discovered, and it is here that the school theater continues to develop and refine those talents."
