Al-Irfan Secondary School in Sofar participated in the Science Fair organized by the National Association for Science and Research. Its students won second and third place (silver and bronze medals) for two projects:
The first on environment and natural resources, and the second on physics and astronomy sciences. The students are: Samia Asef Al-Jurdi, Widad Rozba Abu Fakhr Al-Din, Hanin Rabie Al-Lahham (secondary level - for the Eco-Vegetable Leather project - second place)
And Majd Ramzi Shaaban, Adam Samir Al-Najjar, Majd Bashir Atallah, Majd Faisal Ghanem (intermediate level - for the Thermal Wind Electric Generator project - third place).
The fair was organized under the patronage of Prime Minister Najib Mikati at the Lebanese University campus in Hadath.
