The Directorate of Theaters and Music, in cooperation with the As-Suwayda National Theater, held an International Dance Day celebration on the stage of the Cultural Palace Theater in As-Suwayda.
The celebration included a dance-theater performance titled 'Life,' presented by the Al-Hayat troupe, supervised by Ms. Munira Al-Shammas and trained by Suzan Shuqair – Mulan Al-Nabwani, featuring a series of dance vignettes about life titled: (Birth – Misery – Discovery – Challenge – Creativity – Balance – Belonging – Conflict – Soaring – Awareness – Victory – Flocks – Childhood – Elders and Youth – Mothers – Insight) and others.

The performance addresses the duality of black and white in life in general, and featured 34 dancers.

The members of the troupe represent seven generations, ranging in age from 4 to 37 years old.

The troupe was established in 1998 and has held multiple performances in the governorate.
