His Eminence the Sheikh Al-Aql of the Unitarian Druze community, Sheikh Dr. Sami Abi Al-Muna, congratulated the workers of Lebanon on International Workers' Day.
In a statement, the Sheikh Al-Aql considered that “the true celebration lies in granting all workers, laborers, and those with limited income their legitimate rights, to ensure a decent and dignified life, and to alleviate the economic, financial, and social burdens upon them, especially in light of the harsh living crisis that the nation and its people are going through.”
Abi Al-Muna called on “officials to show solidarity and unity to secure a decent living, find ways to protect food security, which is threatened as a result of the ongoing depletion of the state's structure and treasury, and to strive seriously to achieve social justice, protect the homeland, and revive its institutions.”
