A native of As-Suwayda Governorate, Captain William Ghannam, topped the Syrian Premier League goalkeepers for the 2023/2024 season in direct saves.
Statistics showed that Al-Taliya goalkeeper William Ghannam made 55 direct saves on target.
Ghannam played 17 matches, conceded 14 goals, and kept 8 clean sheets.
It is noteworthy that William Ghannam represented the Syrian Olympic team and the Syrian youth team, and also played as a goalkeeper for Tishreen, Al-Wathba, and Al-Taliya clubs, in addition to being a goalkeeper for the Rouge Dortmund club, which competes in the German fifth division.
