The Qatari Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, received President Walid Jumblatt, accompanied by the head of the Democratic Gathering and the Progressive Socialist Party, MP Taymour Jumblatt, Mrs. Nora Jumblatt, and Democratic Gathering member MP Hadi Aboul Hosn, in the presence of the Lebanese Ambassador to Qatar, Mrs. Farah Berri.
The discussion covered the general situation in the region, especially the situation on the Palestinian arena, particularly the war on Gaza and southern Lebanon, in addition to the Lebanese situation. Jumblatt praised the role played by the State of Qatar, especially in its continuous efforts and initiatives for a ceasefire in Gaza, as well as its role within the Quintet Committee to assist Lebanon in overcoming the presidential crisis.
