A Free Medical Day in Aiha

Abu Latif added: "Municipalities and associations should organize such campaigns monthly, especially since they provide free medicine, consultations, and examinations that reach a social segment in need of health and medical care, including the poor, which is what we witnessed in Aiha."

He expressed the hope that municipalities would take the initiative to count the number of patients with chronic diseases and identify the types of medicines they need so that associations can provide them periodically.
He pointed out that there is an effort, through meetings held, to establish a mutual aid fund in the town that would contribute to easing the burden on patients and low-income individuals.

He noted that the beneficiaries of this campaign exceeded 500 individuals who received medicine, consultations, and examinations.

Al-Sayegh
The president of the Charitable Medicine Bank Association, Firas Al-Sayegh, considered that the initiative comes in the context of the initiatives carried out by the association in many Lebanese regions, especially in these delicate circumstances where citizens need someone to stand by them with the rise in the prices of medicine, medical consultations, and hospitalization.
He explained that this work requires support and cooperation between associations, municipalities, and organizations to ensure continuity and develop our tasks and capabilities for useful and effective follow-up, because such campaigns alleviate the burden on the citizen and also on the state regarding hospitalization.
He thanked the Al-Ru'ya Association for Development and Rehabilitation for its follow-up and monitoring, and the medical teams and volunteers for their work, as well as the Municipality of Aiha for its cooperation.
