A native of As-Suwayda, the star Ghazwan Al-Safadi is one of the stars of Syrian drama. He has participated in dozens of dramatic works with diverse roles, possessing a charismatic personality and remarkable talent. He also had experience in media work.

Ghazwan Al-Safadi was born in 1970 in As-Suwayda Governorate, where he grew up and received his education from primary school through high school. After obtaining his baccalaureate, he moved to Damascus to study acting at the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts.

He graduated in 1996, and it is noted that the Syrian artists Samer Al-Masry and Wael Ramadan were in his graduating class.

His roles varied between tragedy, comedy, history, and Shami environment works, and the roles he presented were characterized by their diversity.

His artistic beginnings were in 1996, when Al-Safadi shone on screen by participating in the music video for the song "Blak W Kif". The following year, he launched his acting career by appearing in several series, including: Hawa Bahri and Ailat 7 Noujoum.

He was absent from screens from 2012, but years later he returned to the arts through radio to present the program "Ya Marhaba" on the Shoofi-Maafi channel. He then returned to acting in 2022, where he achieved dazzling success in his roles in the series Kaser Adem, Ma Waqf Al-Tanfeeth, and Al-Arbaji 2.

The artist Ghazwan Al-Safadi has more than 50 series and films to his credit, including Khalid bin Walid, Abna' Al-Rasheed, Ashwak Na'ima, Khalf Al-Qudban, Al-Murabitoun wal-Andalus, Al-Hajjaj, Anshoudat al-Matar, Loghz al-Jarima, Al-Arwah al-Muhajira, Saqr Quraish, Omar Khayyam, Zaman al-Wasl, Thi Qar, Qisas al-Ghumoud, Omar, As'ad al-Warraq, Al-Dabbour, Zaman al-Ar, Aswat Khafita, Yawm Mumtir Akhar, and Laysa Saraban.

Al-Safadi has received many artistic awards, including: Best Comedian Actor for his role in the series "Al-Dabbour" at the Cairo International Festival for Radio and Television in 2004, Best Actor for his role in the series "Zaman al-Wasl" at the Damascus International Festival for Radio and Television in 2003, and Best Actor for his role in the series "Al-Hosrom al-Shami" at the Faten Hamama Festival for Arab Films in 2007.

It is worth noting that Ghazwan Al-Safadi was married to actress Sawsan Arsheed, but they separated. He later married for the second time to Jordanian journalist Sarah Kamal Fayyad, and they have a daughter named "Shams".
