The Lebanese Ambassador to Russia and Dean of the Arab Diplomatic Corps, Shawki Bou Nassar, held a series of meetings and activities with Arab ambassadors to follow up on developments and discuss the situation.
They were brought together for a working lunch at the Guest House of the Russian Foreign Ministry with Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, with the participation of President Vladimir Putin's Special Representative for the Middle East and Africa Mikhail Bogdanov, Director of the Middle East Department at the Foreign Ministry Ambassador Alexander Kinshchak, and a number of ministry officials.

They also met Prince Turki Al-Faisal, who served as Director of Saudi Intelligence for over thirty years, former Saudi Ambassador to Washington and London, and brother of the late Foreign Minister Prince Saud Al-Faisal, who currently heads several study and research centers.
He also participated in a number of cultural and scientific activities of interest to hundreds of Lebanese students in Russian universities and institutes, most notably the celebration of planting a cedar tree with the President of the prestigious Moscow State University (MGU), Professor Victor Sadovnichy, in the university's historical garden, which was established by Peter the Great more than three hundred years ago and subsequently attached to the university's properties by Tsar Nicholas II in 1906.
