The spiritual authority of the Unitarian Druze community, Sheikh Abu Yousef Amin Al-Sayigh, stated in a message addressed on the occasion of the blessed Eid al-Adha, that “If we want to improve our position in the homeland and in its system (and this is your right), then our identity dictates that this is achieved through integration into the general national society and the general Arab society, not through private projects and differentiation from our fellow countrymen.”
The spiritual authority advised the elite of the Unitarians “not to withhold from minds and hearts the opportunity to advance the Druze community by preserving its identity.”
