His Eminence the Sheikh Akl of the Unitarian Druze community in Lebanon, Sheikh Sami Abi Al-Muna, visited the radiant “Qataleb Khalwa” in Baadaran. He participated alongside the venerable Sheikh Abu Zein El Din Hassan Ghannam, leading a delegation of Sheikhs, including members of the Madhhab Council, the Sheikh Akl office, and advisors, for the annual Eid al-Adha gathering at the invitation of the venerable Sheikh Abu Dawood Mounir Al-Qadmani. Also participating were His Eminence Sheikh Naim Hassan and the venerable Sheikhs: Abu Saleh Mohammed Al-Andari, Abu Ali Suleiman Bou Diab, Abu Fayez Amin Makarem, Abu Hassan Adel Al-Nimr, Abu Suleiman Saeed Sari El-Din, Abu Fares Marwan Fayyad, Majid Abu Saad, Abu Mahdi Salman Darbiya, and a large gathering of Sheikhs.
During the meeting, Sheikh Abi Al-Muna spoke, focusing on the “ten” days and the blessed Great Eid, its symbolism, and its religious significance. He emphasized renewing faith in God Almighty, drawing closer to Him, acting in accordance with His pleasure, and sacrificing to achieve the human purpose. He recalled the story of the Prophet Ibrahim (peace be upon him) and his son as a great metaphor for that sacrifice and the meaning of redemption. He drew out human meanings, including contentment, acceptance, and submission to God's command, which complete the character of the Eid. He noted the spirit of rising above everything that hinders unity, reconciliation, affection, and love—values that have long enriched the path and journey of the righteous predecessors and strengthened the principles of solidarity and mutual support to overcome all barriers and obstacles that prevent achieving this necessary unity, so that we may protect one another.
He considered that the radiant “Qataleb Khalwa” will remain on the same path upon which it was established, as a place for worship and gathering since it was overseen by the pure Sheikhs: Nahed Hosn El-Din, Abu Mahmoud Salman Al-Shamaa, and Abu Yousef Hussein Hani, followed by the Sheikhs: Abu Salman Mahmoud Al-Shamaa, Abu Suleiman Haseeb Al-Halabi, and Abu Salman Anis Al-Halabi, up to the present day with Sheikh Abu Dawood Mounir Al-Qadmani. Many fateful decisions for the community were taken there. Therefore, we must realize well that the status that characterizes this Khalwa will remain a message for gathering, unity, and the promotion of religious values and principles, which it is unacceptable to abandon under any circumstances, or to favor fake civilization over them, in light of current and future challenges.
Prior to this, the Sheikh Akl and a large number of Sheikhs visited the shrine of the late Sheikh Abu Yousef Hussein Hani in Baadaran.
