The representative of the Sheikhdom of the Unitarian Druze Community in Kuwait, Sheikh Nassib Kanso, participated in the special gathering for Lebanese families residing in Kuwait, invited by the Lebanese Social Association on the occasion of Eid al-Adha. In his speech on the occasion, he conveyed the greetings and blessings of His Eminence Sheikh Sami Abi Al-Muna to the attendees, and extended congratulations to His Highness the Amir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled, the Prime Minister His Highness Sheikh Ahmad Al-Abdullah, and to the government and people of Kuwait, wishing that “the Eid may be an opportunity to strengthen love and communication.”
In his speech, Kanso emphasized that the progress of nations and the advancement of peoples depend on the religious, moral, and scientific values held by their citizens, pointing to the importance of education, sound upbringing, and positive practice in consolidating these meanings. He also spoke about the message of Eid al-Adha in refining the soul, purifying the heart, and strengthening spirituality, calling for the reinforcement of the spirit of faith, humanity, fraternity, and solidarity to realize the true meanings of the Eid.
