The “Aramoun Baladati” (Aramoun My Town) Assembly, as part of the activities of the Fifth Aramoun Book and Coin Exhibition for this year, honored the President of the “Rashaya Atelier” Association, Shawki Dallal, by presenting him with the Assembly’s shield during a ceremony held at the Aramoun Public Hall, under the patronage of the Minister of Culture in the caretaker government, Judge Mohammad Wissam Al-Mortada, and in the presence of official and popular figures.
The head of the assembly, Amer Al-Mohtar, said on the occasion: “Today we are pleased in the Aramoun Baladati Assembly to honor the assembly’s permanent friend and the unsung hero behind the success of the Aramoun Book and Coin Exhibition from its first edition until the fifth, visual artist Dr. Shawki Dallal, who has not skimped on sharing his cultural, artistic, and social experience with us for over three decades. He has been and remains our support in all our activities. Therefore, we are happy today to present the Assembly’s shield as a token of loyalty, appreciation, and affection, and we will continue to work together to enrich cultural life with meaningful activities, as we have been accustomed to in our assembly since its founding.”
For his part, Dallal thanked the head of the Aramoun Baladati Assembly, Amer Al-Mohtar, the administrative board, and the members of the assembly for “this gesture, which I highly appreciate, especially since it comes from an assembly that has its standing in Lebanese cultural life. This has been proven through the diverse activities in Aramoun and the Western Shouf region, which have left and continue to leave a significant impact on community building. A thousand thanks to the assembly and to our people in Aramoun, the town of heritage, tradition, and culture, and we will remain with you and by your side in your upcoming cultural seasons.”
In conclusion, Al-Mohtar and the assembly members presented the commemorative shield to Dallal.
