Following the signing of a reconciliation agreement at the home of Sheikh Abu Nabil Adib Malaeb between the families of Mr. Riad Malaeb and Marwan Sami Malaeb, the banner of peace was raised on Friday afternoon in the town of Baisour, in the presence of former Minister Walid Jumblatt, Lebanese Democratic Party leader Talal Arslan, Progressive Socialist Party leader MP Taymour Jumblatt, Syrian Social Nationalist Party leader Rabie Banat, Minister of Education and Higher Education Abbas Halabi, Sheikh Aql of the Unitarian Druze Community Sami Abi Al-Muna, Sheikh Nasr al-Din al-Gharib, former Sheikh Aql Naim Hassan, former General Director of General Security Major General Abbas Ibrahim, former ministers Ghazi Aridi and Saleh Al-Gharib, members of the Democratic Gathering bloc MPs Akram Chehayeb, Wael Abu Faour, Marwan Hamadeh, Raji Al-Saad, and Hadi Abu Al-Hassan, Secretary General of the Progressive Socialist Party Dhafer Nasser, former MPs Alaaeddine Terro and Ayman Choucair, Secretary General of the Workers' Liberation Front Walid Shumeit, municipal heads, mukhtars, civic and social figures, security and military leaders, members of the Druze Council, interior agents of the "Progressive" party, leaders in the "Democratic" party, and a crowd of sheikhs and residents of Baisour and the Gharb region.
