The religious authority of Sheikh Muhammad al-Yaqoobi organized an Ashura Majlis on the eve of the tenth day at its center in Beirut. During the event, Sheikh Amer Zeineddine, Media Advisor to the Sheikh al-Aql of the Unitarian Druze community, delivered a speech on the occasion, under the patronage and in the presence of the Legal Representative of the religious authority Sheikh Muhammad al-Yaqoobi in Lebanon and Syria, Sheikh Hussein Tamimi, along with a large number of clerics, scholars, and religious, social, and civil figures.
Following an introduction by Sheikh Hussein Farhat, Sheikh Zeineddine spoke, greeting the religious authority of al-Yaqoobi and stating: “How much the world needs to repel injustice, and how much leaders and religious authorities need to benefit from the Imam's biography and experience in governance and managing the affairs of the state and authority. We need merciful, just people who believe in the principle of equality and rights, and we need to translate the chapters of that revolution into tangible and realistic action that changes the miserable reality we live in; for ignorance and enslavement have violated our nation, and corruption and moral decay have undermined our strength.”
