The Sheikh Akl of the Druze Unitarian community, Sheikh Dr. Sami Abi Al-Muna, mourned the late, pure, and venerable Sheikh Abu Masoud Hani Masoud Jaber. The text of the eulogy stated:
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Indeed, we belong to God and indeed to Him we shall return
“O soul that is at rest, return to your Lord, well-pleased and pleasing [to Him], and enter among My [righteous] servants and enter My Paradise”.
God Almighty has spoken the truth
With great sadness and sorrow, and with deep acceptance and submission [to God's will],
We mourn to our brothers and our people, the Unitarians, and to all members of the sect,
the late, pure, and venerable Sheikh Abu Masoud Hani Masoud Jaber,
a descendant of a house of piety and religious devotion, and a prominent figure of a family of righteousness and integrity. We lament his departure from us and from his brothers, the trusted Sheikhs, at a time when we, they, and all the righteous brothers are in need of his gentle presence and to follow his noble path. He was one who rose to the service of the religion and its requirements, patient through the loss of two dear young men, ascetic regarding the goods of this world, desiring only the afterlife, a gatherer of those of virtue and monotheism, and one adorned with the turban of the elite among them.
We ask for mercy for his soul, and for his respected son, our trusted advisor Sheikh Minhal, and for his family and loved ones, we wish for enduring life and well-being.
May God cover him with His vast mercy and grant him a dwelling among the righteous in His Paradise.
