The Sheikh Al-Aql of the Druze Unitarian community, Sheikh Dr. Sami Abi Al-Muna, met at the community house in Beirut with a delegation of lawyers led by the candidate for the Bar Association elections, Nadim Hamadeh, who briefed His Eminence on the circumstances, program, and goals of his candidacy, in the presence of the Secretary of the Madhhabi Council, lawyer Nizar Al-Barad'i, and member of the Legal Committee, Dr. Talal Jaber, accompanied by lawyers Mazen Halawi, Marwan Halawi, and Hazem Al-Beaini.
Sheikh Abi Al-Muna was also briefed by the committee overseeing the Madhhabi Council elections scheduled for August 25th, and the ongoing steps regarding preparations to finalize the process, which should lead to the arrival of qualified individuals from the community to serve the interest and development of the institutions, in accordance with the directives of the Sheikh Al-Aql in this regard. The committee included its head, Judge Osama Al-Laham, and members: Sheikh Nazih Saab, Dr. Farid Hamdan, lawyer Malik Abu Latif, Dr. Salah Al-Danaf, and Mr. Anwar Daou, in the presence of the Director General of the Madhhabi Council, Mr. Mazen Fayyad, and the Director of the Sheikhship of the Aql, Mr. Rayan Hassan.

His Eminence received a delegation from the "Sheikh Mohammad Yaacoub Foundation," headed by Dr. Ali Yaacoub, which also included the President of the Women's League of Cities, Mrs. Amani Al-Huqail. The delegation invited His Eminence to participate in a symposium on "The approach of Sheikh Mohammad Yaacoub to joint Islamic-Christian living," coinciding with the anniversary of the disappearance of Imam Musa al-Sadr and his two companions. Yaacoub also presented a book titled: "A Light That Does Not Fade."
He also received the Commissioner of Interior in the Progressive Socialist Party, former Director General Hisham Nasser Al-Din. Then, Mr. Tawfiq Al-Halabi, in the presence of the Madhhab judge Sheikh Daniel Saeed, members of the Madhhabi Council Sheikhs Sami Abdul Khaleq and Mohammad Ghannam, and the advisor Sheikh Dr. Ramzi Sari Al-Din.
Sheikh Al-Aql met with Sheikh Judge Naim Hassan, and the meeting addressed the affairs of the Sheikhship and general issues.
He also met with a delegation from the Makarem family from Ras el-Matn, along with the family of the late Issam Fayez Makarem, former Secretary-General of the Druze Social Welfare Foundation and former Mayor of Ras el-Matn, in the presence of Judge Sheikh Gandhi Makarem, to thank His Eminence for his condolences to the family and the town and for his testimony regarding the late figure. He also participated with the family today in receiving condolences at the community house in Beirut, among the mourners were Mr. Walid Jumblatt and a number of former presidents, ministers, deputies, and spiritual, political, social, and civil figures.
Among his visitors were also Dr. Marwan Nweihed accompanied by a delegation, and then Mr. Osama Al-Zuhairi, an official at the Social Security Fund.
His Eminence chaired a meeting of the Board of Directors of the Madhhabi Council to discuss administrative and internal issues, and a second meeting of the Social Committee of the Council to follow up on matters concerning its affairs.

Condolences
Sheikh Abi Al-Muna visited the town of Kfarmatta, leading a delegation of Sheikhs to offer condolences for the late militant educator Issam Khadaj, praising the late's virtues and struggles for his region and the cause he defended, as well as his generous educational and teaching career.
He also offered condolences for the late Sheikha Umm Khaled Shafiqah Zahlan, widow of the late Abu Khaled Mohammad Mustafa Al-Deeb, and for the late Sheikh Yousef Saeed Al-Deeb.
Shaniyeh
Sheikh Al-Aql received at his residence in Shaniyeh the Maronite Archbishop of Antelias, Bishop Antoine Abi Najm, accompanied by lawyer Colonel Kamel Mezher. The meeting addressed spiritual Islamic-Christian issues and the strengthening of partnership in the Mountain region.
He also met with a delegation from the Faculty of Agriculture at the Lebanese University, including Dean Dr. Nadine Nassif, Dr. Lamis Chalak, and Dr. Mohammad Sukkariyeh, in the presence of the Director of B5 Studies and Consulting Company, Nizam Hatoum, to discuss a cooperation agreement between the faculty and the company regarding agricultural investment and development on Druze endowment lands.
He received the former commander of the Judicial Police, retired Brigadier General Salim Salim, and his son Omar, a finance specialist residing in Singapore.
Among his visitors were also Mr. Khaled Masoud, accompanied by his relatives Dr. Amin Abi Al-Muna and Dr. Jihad Abi Al-Muna, the representative of the Sheikhship of the Aql in the American state of Buffalo.
