There are men who do not pass through life fleetingly… rather, they leave an impression on the heart that resembles the serenity of prayer and the scent of earth after rain. Among them stands the name of the late Sheikh Abu Hassan Suleiman Al-Khatib, one of the figures of goodness and prestige, a man who carried in his life's story the meaning of honesty, diligence, and blessing.
‏
‏The late Sheikh Abu Hassan Suleiman Al-Khatib was born in Qala'at Jandal on Mount Hermon (Jabal al-Sheikh) in 1934, into a family known for its generosity, adherence to earning an honest living, and righteous upbringing. He was raised by his father, the late Sheikh Abu Suleiman Yousef Al-Khatib, on high morals and noble values.
‏
‏Sheikh Abu Hassan grew up in an environment that encouraged honorable work and the pursuit of a dignified life. He married and established his family, working diligently in agriculture and livestock farming, providing an exemplary model of dedication and struggle. He was blessed with two sons, one of whom was the late Sheikh Abu Taher Hassan Al-Khatib.
‏
‏After the passing of his father in 1995, Sheikh Abu Hassan took over religious affairs in the village. He was known for his courage and strength, in addition to his generosity and patience in the face of illness, never revealing his pain to anyone but his Creator. He lived for three years suffering through his pain with silence and steadfastness.

‏
‏Sheikh Abu Hassan was distinguished by his open house and vast generosity, and he was a school of knowledge, wisdom, and piety. He acquired his religious knowledge from accompanying esteemed Sheikhs, including the late Sheikh Abu Suleiman Ali Al-Qadmani, may God have mercy upon him.
‏
‏He passed away into the mercy of God Almighty on the twenty-seventh of December 2024, leaving behind an indelible legacy of faith and wisdom, remaining in the hearts of all who knew him.
‏
‏Despite his departure, his impact remains alive in the faces that loved him, in the homes he entered with his generosity, and in the hearts that learned from him the meaning of patience and contentment. His name will remain a testament to a man who lived as a believer should live: steadfast, generous, and as quiet as the shadow of a tree that knows its worth.
