What if reward and punishment were not Heaven and Hell in the material sense, but a spiritual journey extending across more than one life?

In a new episode of "Asalat al-Judhur," we examine the concept of reward and punishment in Unitarian thought, and its relationship with Divine justice and the doctrine of reincarnation.

According to this perspective, Heaven and Hell are spiritual states; the former is linked to closeness to the Creator, knowledge, and tranquility, while the latter manifests in ignorance and estrangement from Him. As for reincarnation, it is not viewed as a punishment, but rather as a testing ground where the soul bears the consequences of its deeds and choices through different human lifetimes and circumstances, leading up to the final reckoning.

Thus, in this perception, reward and punishment become a journey that transcends the boundaries of a single life, throughout which the soul remains on a continuous path of testing and elevation until the time of reckoning and recompense arrives.
