In a new episode of the program "Our Ancestors' Tales," Uncle Abu Ismail Hamad Qutaish tells a story from the history of the Mountain, embodying the meanings of chivalry, loyalty, and keeping the trust.
The story dates back to the nineteenth century, when the knight Hamad Al-Barbour recovered a caravan, money, and gold belonging to a Damascene merchant who was killed during a trading trip that Hamad was accompanying him on. He then decided to travel to Damascus, search for his family, and deliver the trust in full to the merchant's family, refusing any reward.
A story that reminds us that honesty is a principle, loyalty is a stance, and the achievements of our ancestors remain alive as long as we tell them to the generations.
"Our Ancestors' Tales".. stories from the memory of the Mountain, and values that time does not fold.
