There is a small number of Druze who have immigrated to Canada from their home countries. The reasons for their migration include the search for better economic and educational opportunities for themselves and their children, and escaping conflicts and political instability in the region. Most Druze in Canada live in major cities such as Toronto, Montreal, and Vancouver.

They work to preserve their identity, culture, and religious teachings by establishing cultural and religious associations and centers. These associations aim to promote cooperation and solidarity among members of the community and provide a space to express Druze identity and practice religious rituals. In addition, these associations organize cultural, recreational, and educational activities to foster integration and inclusion in the wider Canadian society.

Where the president of the Canadian Druze Society in Toronto, Mohammad Abu Hamdan, affirms that “the primary goal of holding the conference is to preserve our unity, customs, and traditions, for which we accept no substitute, in addition to strengthening the bonds of sincere cooperation and documenting the relations between the Druze in the diaspora and their motherland, whether their roots are from Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, or Palestine.” He said that “the intense response of the community members to attend the conference, especially by young men and women, made it even more distinguished and successful.”
