On Sunday evening, March 24, 2024, a specialized educational course for young couples from the Druze community was launched in Beit Jann. The event was attended by His Eminence Sheikh Mowafaq Tarif, the Spiritual Leader of the Druze Community, Mr. Nazieh Dabbour, Head of the Beit Jann Council, the current Head of the Beit Jann Council, Lawyer Radi Najm, the village’s religious establishment, educators, and participating young couples.
During his opening speech, His Eminence Sheikh Mowafaq Tarif, the Spiritual Leader of the Druze Community, emphasized the urgent need to educate the unified family in this era, to ensure it is based on standards of virtue and morality, in an effort to fulfill its duty as a fundamental link between the individual and society, and between society and the wider world.
Furthermore, His Eminence announced the Religious Council's intention to expand this educational course to other Druze towns, in addition to preparing other programs aimed at raising the level of awareness among all segments of society, which the Religious Council approved as part of its work plan for the current year, 2024.

A specialized educational course for young couples in Beit Jann
Work is underway on educational courses for young couples in nearby towns, in addition to preparations for other programs in the short and long term aimed at increasing awareness among all segments of the Druze community, as part of the vision and work plan adopted toward all spectra of the Druze community.
During the opening ceremony, both the Head of the Beit Jann Council, Sheikh Sayes Abu Hani Saleh Qabalan, and the Director of the Youth Center in Beit Jann, Ms. Rula Fares Hammoud, spoke, praising the great importance of the project and thanking the Religious Council for the distinguished partnership in spreading awareness.
The opening meeting also included a valuable lecture given by the Judge of the Primary Druze Religious Court, Sheikh Abu Melhem Kamal Qabalan, in which he addressed the rules of marriage according to the Personal Status Law for Druze monotheists.
It is noteworthy that the course is held in cooperation between the Supreme Druze Religious Council, the local Beit Jann Council, the Youth Center, and the Unit for the Advancement of Women. Couples will participate in seven specialized sessions to raise awareness regarding religious principles, economics, parenting, and legal aspects related to marriage and household management. These will be conducted by sheikhs and qualified experts in an interactive format that has been planned over several months by the professional staff of the Supreme Druze Religious Council.
The event was moderated by the marriage officiant, Sheikh Majdi Qabalan.
