The American car company "Ford" honored Dr. Engineer Hassan Al-Dabeesi, a native of Jabal Al-Arab, on the occasion of his twenty-five years of service with the company.

As reported by the "Suwayda Now" page, citing the "Encyclopedia of Syrian Expatriate Pioneers around the World," Dr. Al-Dabeesi wrote:
"Appreciation is the greatest gift one can receive in life after strenuous effort, seriousness, and commitment to achievement, and succeeding after diligent work means the world bears witness to the fruits of your labor.
Today, Ford presented me with a certificate of appreciation for my 25 years with the company, where I began working in early 1999. They also presented me with a letter from Henry Ford's grandson, Mr. Bill Ford, and a gold ring engraved with the company's name. They even sent a plastic strip, as seen in the last photo, to measure the finger on which I will wear the ring. It is truly a wonderful day that gladdens the heart, as you feel you are reaping the fruits of success."
He added: "I apologize for talking about myself this time, but I would like from the bottom of my heart for my dear loved ones and friends to know, because I know they rejoice for me just as I rejoice for them and their successes and joy.
On this day, I remember my late mother, Umm Talal, and my late father, Abu Talal, who brought me and my siblings to where we are now, and with much gratitude to God Almighty, who destined success for me and facilitated it."
